Greatest Sins According to Bhagavad Gita
What we are talking about here is, the biggest and unforgivable sins according to Bhagavad Gita, and the punishment of that sin has to be faced by the person birth after birth. There are different types of people in this world, some people are bad, and keep committing sins throughout their life. So there are some very good people, who never even think of committing a sin and keep doing good deeds.
What does the Bhagavad Gita say about sins?
It has been told in the scriptures that whatever good or bad deeds a person does while on earth, all those deeds are accounted for after death, and accordingly punishment and rebirth are received. In the eyes of God, the good deeds that are done by you are called virtues and the bad deeds which are done are called sins.
Many good and bad deeds have been told in the Puranas. It has also been told what are different punishments given to human beings for different types of sins after death due to their sinful deeds.
It is mentioned in the Purana that whatever sins a person commits on earth, all those sins get different punishments in turn. The punishment of any sin cannot be avoided in the justice of Yama.
What is sin according to Bhagavad Gita?
By definition, any immoral act that is considered a crime against divine law is called sin. Simply, any action against the recommendations of the scriptures is a sin.
According to the Bhagavad Gita, there are two kinds of sins:
(1) To do what one ought not to do. Performance of acts falling under "Adharma"
(2) not doing what one should do [not showing one's 'dharma'
Thinking about sin is the greatest sin. So sin is essentially an illusion. Krishna says that sin is lower consciousness and nothing that is lower consciousness exists. They are made in the fabric of the mind.
What is the greatest sin according to Gita?
Well, there are many sins in the world, such as murder, suicide, theft, dishonesty, cheating, lying, hatred, jealousy, greed, anger, ego, and many more sins. What a man does in his life, but the greatest sin according to Gita torture, insulting, or coercing a woman is the most terrible and most heinous sin of this creation.
The biggest thing in this is that all other sins can be atonement and apart from this there is a possibility of getting forgiveness for all these sins. But neither God can forgive you for this sin nor can it be atonement.
This is also written in our scriptures. You can also read in Ramayana how Ravana got annihilated due to the ill-vision of a stranger woman. In the Mahabharata, the Kauravas were completely destroyed because of atrocities on a woman. Not only this, there are thousands more such examples. This proves that whoever has insulted a woman, their name has been erased from this world.
Do not make this mistake even by forgetting, it is called a great sin, all the virtues are destroyed, and they are called the culprit of crores of sins
Today, which we will mention in this video, a person has to bear the punishment of that sin birth after birth.
What is the Greatest Sin in Gita | Unforgivable Sins?
Shri Krishna says that the biggest sin in the world is to play with the honor of a woman. A man who plays with the dignity of a woman. He commits the biggest sin in this world. Women's power is such a power that is very difficult to estimate. The woman is considered to be the most revered in the world. Insulting a woman is tantamount to ruining the whole universe.
In the world, a woman takes care of her child in every way. Which we call mother in the language of love. This woman is the ocean of love in various forms. Sometimes she is a mother, sometimes a wife, a sister, sharing only love and affection in every form. Every book says that women should be respected. Otherwise, the one who hurts the woman becomes the victim of crores of sins.
It has been said that where there is no worship, hospitality, Value, and respect for any woman, there is no abode of a man or a deity with divine qualities. There all arrangements and actions fail. It also means a society where women are not respected and respected, where women are humiliated, scorned, raped, burnt, tortured for dowry, treated as objects of enjoyment, etc. There are no gods but ignorant fools, demons, or demonic people living there. At the same time, those who commit these misdeeds, have to suffer punishment for birth after birth.
How to get rid of sins according to Bhagavad Gita?
Sin is nothing but doing things that are against the will of God, or against the laws of nature or the laws of the scriptures given by God.
Now how can we get rid of our sins?
In the Bhagavad Gita, we find many quotes that explain how we can get rid of our sins. According to the Bhagavad Gita, there are two main ways to get rid of your sins.
The first way is to learn the truth about soul knowledge and God by approaching a spiritual master, questioning him humbly, and serving him.
Shri Krishna says that self-realized souls like Gurus, masters having true knowledge can impart knowledge to you because they have seen the truth. Then by the fire of divine knowledge, you will be freed from all your sins. (Bhagavad Gita: Chapter Four Verse 34)
Even if you are considered the most sinner of all sinners, even if you are situated in the boat of transcendental knowledge, you will still be able to cross the ocean of misery." (Bhagavad Gita: Adhyay Four Verse 36)
Just as a kindling fire destroys wood, so, O Arjuna! The fire of knowledge consumes all the fruits of material actions." (Bhagavad Gita: Adhyay Four Verse 37)
Another way to get rid of all your sins is to take refuge in the Lord through "Bhakti".
Shri Krishna says that even a sinner who worships Me with full devotion should be considered a great soul or saint; Because he has taken the right step by worshiping Me. (Gita: Chapter IX Verse 30)
That is, in the Bhagavad Gita, the Lord reassures His disciple Arjuna in many ways asks him to take refuge in him, and says that He will free him from sin in every way, and will always save him in life in every way.
Many times we think that we have committed many sins in life and how will God accept us, but in the Bhagavad Gita, Shri Krishna has made it very clear that once a person becomes devoted to Him, He does not consider that person a sinner
Rather, it is considered a godly person because he has made the right decision to be devoted to God in his life.
Shri Krishna says, O son of Kunti, know this for sure that my devotee never falls, he soon becomes virtuous and attains everlasting peace.' (Gita: Chapter IX Verse 31)
That is, the Lord is telling Arjuna that such a sinner becomes a person of good qualities after becoming his devotee and always lives in peace and such peace is not temporary but permanent. Lord is assuring Arjuna that his devotee will never fall again in life as he always protects him. So always worship God so that he can always protect us.
'Fix your mind on Me, be devoted to me, worship me, and bow down to me. Thus, joining me, you will surely come to me.' (Gita: Chapter IX Verse 34)
That is, the Lord is asking Arjuna to concentrate his mind on the Lord because the real 'yoga' is to integrate one's consciousness into the Lord by expressing true devotion towards Him with a sense of complete humility.
We should also follow the same path and become devoted to Him daily by praying to Him. God is very clear that once a person comes under the shelter of God, all his problems are solved and God becomes his protector in this life and beyond life.
